Raymond (Ray) M. Asprion, Jr., passed away on Jan 22, 2018 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Linda Wagner Asprion of 58 years. Beloved father of Sheree A. Montgomery (Tommy) and Raelynn A. Tingstrom. Grandfather of Kelsey and Madalyn Montgomery. Son of the late Raymond M. Asprion, Sr. and Myrtle Larsen Asprion. Brother of Alfred G. Asprion (Bonnie). Uncle of Rene A. Asprion (Ryan) and Keith R. Asprion. Great uncle of Nolan and Dalton Asprion. Ray was a Warren Easton High School graduate. He retired from First NBC and worked in banking for over 35 years. He was one of the original volunteers at the WWII Museum. In particular, he was one of the boat builders instrumental in the building/restoration of the Higgins LCVP, LCP (L), and the PT-305. Ray participated in the Senior Olympics, was a member of the Louisiana Shooting Club and Masonic Lodge #444 of Metairie, a parishioner of St. Paul Episcopal Church and was in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 12:00 noon with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Inurnment in Masonic Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at Information 504-835-2341.
