Grady C. Lloyd, Jr., 81, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, after a long struggle with Lewy body dementia. Grady was a resident of Old Jefferson, Louisiana for most of his life. A union carpenter for decades, he worked on many of the buildings that now make up the New Orleans skyline, including the Superdome. He was active with the St. Agnes CCD for over 50 years as both a teacher and a coordinator. And he served on the Parish Council, including a term as president.

Grady was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing the fruits (and vegetables) of his labor with his family, friends, and neighbors. He loved being a father, grandfather, uncle; he mentored many in his roles as an educator, a baseball coach at Jefferson Playground, and through his church work. He was a graduate of Jesuit High School in New Orleans and the Southwest Louisiana Institute (University of Southwestern Louisiana for his last year).
