Francis Manuel Grabert passed away peacefully on Monday, August 9, 2021 at the age of 94. He was born in Raceland, LA and a resident of Jefferson, LA. Devoted and loving husband of 44 years to the late Ruby Matherne Grabert. Caring father of Greta Guillot (Steve), Garnet McHan (Lance), Grant and Glenda Grabert, Ginger Spedale (Don) and the late Gay Elizabeth Grabert. Grandfather of Danielle Guillot Halbrook (Logan), Ellen Guillot Breaux (Mark), Ruby Spedale and Mia Henry. Great grandfather of Emmie Breaux. Francis proudly served his country during the Korean War, as a member of the United States Army. He retired after 45 years of service for the Louisiana Gas Service. At St. Agnes he was a member of The Holy Name Society, he was a Eucharistic Minister to the sick and a Lector. Francis received, along with his wife, the Order of St. Louis Medallion in recognition of their dedication and service to the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 3310 Jefferson Highway on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 11:00 am with visitation at church beginning at 9:00 am. Graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Raceland, La. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Nativity Church in honor of his love of altar service, 3500 Hwy 1, Raceland, LA 70394 or St. Agnes Church, 3310 Jefferson Highway, Jefferson, La. 70121.
