Alejandro “Chachi” Anthony Guidry left this world unexpectedly on Christmas, December 25, 2021 at 35 years of age. He possessed a wild quirkiness in a reserved personality that shined via his actions with how he loved & cared for those that crossed his path. During childhood, when grocery shopping with his mother & family, he was readily found by the magazine rack studying Guns & Ammo and others of the sort. Alejandro met his wife at Southwestern Adventist University and spent 17 years of their life together. His one and only daughter quickly became his most prized treasure, as Daddy’s Princess. He followed his calling and joined the Marine Corps in 2010 for 12 years of dedicated service. He achieved an astounding amount of awards including a Navy Commendation Medal and two Navy Achievement Medals. Alejandro’s lasting legacy was his leadership both in & out of uniform and the impact he had on all whom he encountered. Alejandro is survived by his mother, Laura, wife, Candace, daughter, Azalia; goddaughter, Maylin; sisters, Country & Ashley; brothers, Darell & Jeremy; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews. He was adored and will be dearly missed by all who loved him. May God bless his repose. A Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd, Metairie LA 70001 where relatives & friends are invited to attend: Visitors 11:00 am-12:00 pm; Service 12:00 pm. SSgt Chachi will then be honored with the Full Military Honors burial at another nearby facility, Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie LA.
