Albert Ellis Patent, 79, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2017 at home surrounded by family. Albert was the beloved husband of the late Gayle Karno Patent for 46 years and the loving and proud father of David Patent, Debbie Patent Miller, and Jill Patent. He was the adoring grandfather of Sophie Mae, Libbie Rose, and Sadie Bess Miller. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie & Meyer Patent. He is also survived by devoted friends, Charles Masson, Larry Davis, Marcus Davis and Ruth Barthel, as well as many loving relatives and friends. He was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and lived most of his life in New Orleans. He graduated from Sam Houston College and worked as a businessman for Mansfield's for over 20 yrs. His love for his family and friends will provide for a lifetime of inspiration and joy to all that knew him. A special thank you to his friends and the staff at Sunrise of Metairie for their loving care and support over the last two years.
A memorial service will be held in his honor at Sunrise of Metairie, 3732 West Esplanade Avenue, Metairie, LA, on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 1:30PM with Rabbi Robert Loewy officiating.
